Continuation of my book

‘I found it impossible! All the letters mixed with numbers!’ I loved maths and so did Poppy, but Sophie was more of an English person. ‘Sophie the “letters” and “numbers” is called “algebra”’. And I found it OK. Not to easy, but OK.’ Poppy walked in with hundreds of present bags, as she always does at the last day of the year. Me and Sophie always forget the presents at home. As I opened my double door lockers that we had personalized in pink and blue, Poppy dumped her bag on the floor and put the presents on one side of the locker. On the other side were her cook stuff and coat. In my locker I had partly the same and so did Sophie just without the presents we had organized our thing, then went in our form room for registration. We usually have a very fun day at the end of the term. All our teachers brought sweets and we did many fun things. In the cooking class we had a mini master chef; it was great fun! The lunches were great too. We could order takeaway of any kind. Poppy, Sophie and I always order McDonald's. At the end of the day most people had clubs. Sophie, Poppy and I all go to four clubs together. Two are in school and two are out of school. On Friday's we go to the multiple media club. But Sophie and Poppy could not come today. Sophie has a dentist appointment and Poppy had to take her cat and dog to the vets for a check up.

Fashion vs Ski Part 2

When they got to Victoria’s house Davina told the girls that dinner would be ready soon and that she would call them when it was prepared. In the mean time the girls went up to Victoria’s sitting room were she switched on the Sonas music player and Olly Murs started playing. Poppy sat down on the sofa and Vitoria went to her mini bar, where she made two lovely berry smoothes. The girls sat and watched TV before they were called to dinner. Old Romanian Houses

This museum was set up like a village. It had about 10 traditional Romanian Houses from the 18th all the way through to the early 20th century. Each house was similar but not the same. Most of them had only two rooms one room they would live in and the other one was for events such as wedding, birthdays, funerals, and baptising. One of the lady's at the museum told me that at weddings the lady's would sit on the floor and the men on benches. They would eat soup and drink a warm strong alcoholic drink that contains orange pee. She also told me that they would party from 7pm until the next day at 9am. Wedding were very popular in that time normally there would be at least one every week. The other room it the house was the living room, where all the family would live together. In this room they normally had a stove,a table, some chairs and one or two single beds. The only things they had to cook with where clay pots. They also ate and drank from clay plates and mugs. During the day women used to weave, nit, clean or cook. Men went to work on the farms and make goods for the house such as pots and pans. The average house looked like this. It was made of wood with no nails they where very cleverly placed together. It also had very small windows and the rooms were very small. Due to the small window the rooms were very dark. The men and women used to wear the traditional Romanian costumes which looked like this. Most of their clothing were made in house by women. Now if you want to buy this traditional outfits they cost about £200 each. It the countryside some people still live in the same houses and lead a life they used to 100 years ago. Thank you for reading and I hope you learnt something new.

Childhood memories

I remember that when I was younger I use to go to my cousin’s house. She lives on a dead end road, which has like a little green ireland in the middle of the road. Me and my cousins used to go  and meet with her friends there. Sometimes, we used to go to the shop at the end of the road and treat oerselves with a a pack of Skittles or a bag of crisps that we would share. Some days we would go cycling around the ireland. We spent time by playing games, talking, or just a walking around the ireland talking about how our days went. The great thing was was that we were like a tribe and when somebody new came, they would have to be commuted to come as often as they could. Most of the time we would come in the evening when we have finished all our homework. Kids that did not live on or right next to the ireland came normally every other day. We have the most fun then. We used to clime trees on the Ireland. I remember one year one of my cousins climbed a walnut tree and we throwed up a rope that we had attached a basket to. He would fill the basket up and then send it back down where we would be waiting for it. We would take the walnuts from the bag and sent it back up. I could stay until tomorrow telling you little stories about my time at the Ireland.

Fashion vs ski

Introduction

It was a cold dark January afternoon in Rose School, Victoria and Poppy where heading to their last class. This was one of London’s most modern school, the girls all had iPads instead of heavy text books. They had lessons like no other school. Horse riding, Ice Skating, Skiing, film making and cooking. They also had the most modern class rooms and the most loved pink and orange school uniform. In a nutshell it was the loveliest school in London. It was the school where all the Girls wanted to go to.

When they got to the ice rink lockers they put on their personalised glittery pink skates, and headed for the ice rink where they were the first to arrive. When they arrived, their ice-skating teacher told them to do 4 laps around the rink. By the time they were on their third lap the rest of the class arrived.

When all the class finished doing their laps, the teacher got on the ice herself, to show them what they would learn to do, it was called a doughnut spin. Mrs Glaner began to make a big circle then the circle got smaller and smaller until she was spinning on the spot and her arm was holding her leg. When the teacher had demonstrated a couple of times, they each had to try it. The teacher came to see how they were getting on, but Poppy kept on calling Mrs Glaner for help , whilst on the other hand Victoria tried to practise twice and got the trick! Maybe because it was one of her favourite sports? The teacher let Victoria show the class how it was done. The rest of the class were still practising the doughnut spin, whilst Victoria quickly moved on to a new trick, (you would usually only do this in the next year, year 9 !) the death drop. She started off with the same moves as the Doughnut spin and then she jumped; the moment she landed she went down as if she sat on the ice. Again, she got it first time she tried it. Whereas on the other side of the ice the rest of the class had just mastered the doughnut spin, and would next week all move on to the flying Camille. They were learning all the tricks because the girls were practising for their gold exam which is just as hard as grade 3 in music. The end of the class came and the girls went to the ice skating locker room where they took off their skates and put on their school shoes. They crossed the school to their lockers where grabbed their bags and headed for the main door. Poppy was coming for a sleepover before they were going on their ski trip to Italy.

When they got out of school they saw Victoria’s mums car. They when out the gate and in to the car when they got in the car. Davina gave them their snacks. She asked them how school was. “

Fragments from my book...

I was so excited about finishing the year. After the holidays I would be in year 8! As I went down the stairs to have breakfast, I was thinking of all the things that were going to happen next year. [...] The moment I got down stairs mum was shouting to Jess ‘Hurry up! Look, Chloe is ready and you are not!’ I went in the kitchen had a quick breakfast, then I said ‘bye’ to Coco and hopped in the car.

After about five minutes of waiting for my older sister Jess, we headed for school. School was only 10 minutes away, car distance. When we were nearly there we started to see people from our school in the far distance. I could see Poppy and her sister walking. I was friends with Poppy, and Jess with her sister. When we arrived at school I gave a kiss to mummy and hopped out of the car. We were just in front of the school gates. That is were all the kids are dropped off.

As I walked through the hallway in to the locker room, Sophie was there waiting for me and Poppy. Me Poppy and Sophie were all best friends; we had been since we were 4 years old. Our sisters were also best friends, and still are.

‘Sophie, how did you find the maths homework?’ I asked.
