Becky's Theater Review - The Book Of Mormon

Today I have another review for you guys, but the difference is, it's a Theatre review. I have never done a musical review on by blog before, but essentialy it's the same as a book or film review. I am going to review for you a musical that I think most people have heard about, The Book Of Mormon.

I went to see this musical with few of my friends. None of us knew what the show would be about, we all presumed that it would have something to do with the Mormon religion, but that was about as far as our knowledge went.  We wanted to go and see it as it has won so many awards and everybody we knew who had seen it said it was amazing.

So what is it about?

I don't want to spoil the whole show so I am going to tell you the very brief plot.

The story is based on two missionary Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham. Elder Price is the best in his class of Missionary and very good looking while Elder Cunningham is a nerd and a compulsive lier. They are send to Uganda despite Elder Prices wishes to go to Orlando. They are send to Uganda to convert as many people as they can to the Mormon Religion.

From there the story develops. This is the very brief plot, but I don't want to spoil the performance for you.

Thoughts and feelings about the performance.

OMG can we just take a minute to appreciate how funny this musical is. I have never ever laughed so much in a musical. It was hysterically funny. The plot was really different, but very good, the songs were funny and catchy. I came out of the musical wanting to see it again right there and then. It something you will not forget.

I would like to put out there that this performance does contain strong language and is unsuitable for young children. Most websites recommend that this performance is unsuitable for under 18s. So, just as a guidance for you guys.

I will leave you with this.

Have an amazing rest of the week and I will see you all very soon.

Becky xoxo
