Today I thought I would share with you something a bit different. Recently I have been getting into making granola rather than buying it. It's really easy to make and much healthier. I have been trying out all sorts of different recipes. Today I thought I would share with you some and tell you my thoughts on them. I have four recipes to share, so let's get started. All the recipes mentioned are really easy and also very quick to make.
The first one is one from the Food Network and it is a Cherry, Almond and Cinnamon Granola. This was one of my favourite ones as it was not to sweet or dry.
Next we have the granola recipes from the video below. This was one of my least favourite as it was the driest in my opinion. However it is still worth giving a go, as you may like this one the most.
Next up we have a Maple, Pecan and Cranberry Granola which I liked, but it was not my favourite but it wasn't the worst either.
Last but not least, I have saved my favourite last and it is Pistachio and Blueberry Granola. I loved the combination between the Pistachio nut and the dried blueberries. This is the one I have continued making over and over again.
All the recipes from this video are amazing by the way.
Tips and tricks for making granola.
I wanted to share with you some tips that I have picked up from my personal experience.
1. If you are adding dried fruits always add them after you have baked you granola.
2. Use the same cup for all your measurements. I find cups to be a good way to measure ingredients when making granola.
3. Keep turning the tray while in the oven to get an even bake.
4. Use jumbo rolled oats to get the similar consistency to shop bought granola.
I wanted to share with you some key ignorance to personalise your granola.
Here are three main ingredient you will need.
Agave Nectar
Coconut Oil
From there you can personalise it with whatever you fancy.
I hope this has been helpful. I hope that you give the recipes a try and feel free to leave a comment below telling me which one is your favourite.
