Travel with Becky: Ski / Activity Holiday - Whats In My Make Up Bag

The ski seasons is back and today I thought I would share some of the things I take with me on a ski trip. This would also be great if you are going on an adventure holiday where you won't be wearing make up all the time, but you still want to have some make up with you. I know everybody has very different ski trips depending where you are going and what you are doing. However I thought I would share with you some of things I take with me when I go skiing. So, let's get started.

When I go skiing I am the person who likes to wear as little make up as possible, and I just can't be bothered to do my make up. So, the only days I really wear make up are the days before we get to the ski resort or when we go to a nice restaurant. Most of the time I end up not using most of the make up I bring with me. This is a good selection of products to have for any occasion you made need in your holiday.

Face Products

I prefer taking a light BB cream or tinted moisturiser rather than a heavy foundation. The tinter moisture I went for this time is the Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow makeup which is a really nice low coverage natural liquid which smells amazing btw.  The concealers that I took with me are the Collection Concealer which is a really cheap and great all round concealer and for highlighting I took the Mac Prep and Prime in Light Boost, which yet again is a really good brighting concealer. Then to set that in place I took the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder .

I only brought one blush and bronzer with me and I chose the Chanel Blush in Innocence which give a very "flushed from within" look to the skin, and to got with it I chose the Dior Nude Skin Bronzer again a very natural product.

Eye Products

One thing I would recommend to take with you is an eyeshadow quad of your choice and a cream eyeshadow. I took the Chanel Les 4 Ombres and the Chanel Illusion D'Omber  with me. It allowed me to create many different looks and they are really a great formula. I took my Sephora Black liquid liner and my Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara   which I really love.

Lip Products

For lips I like to take a natural day time colour and a darker colour. So, for my natural colour I decided to take the Dior Jelly Lip Pens which were limited edition, but the colour and formula are very similar to the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss sticks. I also went for the Clarins Instant Natural Light Perfector  . For my darker colour I went for Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in the shade Raplumzel.

The Makeup Bag

The makeup bag I went for is a Charlotte Tilbury Make Up bag. I love it because it is soft, so it is easy to fit into any bag or suitcase. You can fit loads into it which is always great.

Ok guys that's all for now. I hope that was helpful to any of you going skiing or on holiday any time soon.

How to keep you New Year Resolution

Happy new year everybody,

Today I thought instead of sharing with you guys new year resolution ideas I thought I would share with you ways in which to keep your resolution going longer than the first month or two. If you still don't have a resolution and want some help then check out the post I did on new year's resolution ideas link

So, lets get started.

Tip 1- Tell People

Telling people you are doing something. Letting other people know what your resolutions are make you, want to keep your resolution as you don't want to look like a quitter in front of your friends and family.

Tip 2- Make it possible.

One of the most common new year resolutions is to be healthy or to loose weight. But there is no point as having that as your new year resolution as it too vague. You need to have baby steps, stuff that is actually achievable. For example drinking an extra glass of water every day, or eat an extra piece of fruit a day. Something small. If you want to loose weight then set a goal for example by the 10th February you want to have lost a 1kg or something like that.

Tip 3- Have a reward

I am going to use weight loss as an example. So, say you want to loose 5kg in total. Tell yourself that if you loose that weight you will buy your self something you really wanted, for example a handbag, a watch or a piece of jewellery.

Tip 4- Be Realistic

At the beginning of the year we all say we will go to the gym everyday or we will never eat junk food again. Everything is ok, in moderation. So, don't ban yourself from chocolate, instead just reduce the amount you eat. Take baby steps.

Tip 5- Really want it.

It's fine if you want to say you want to be fitter, but if you really want something it will make you more determined and motivated.

So, there you have it 5 tips that could help you maintain your new year resolutions. I hope these were helpful to you guys.

Hope you guys are having a great day.

Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide for Him

I am back with another gift guide, but today it is for him over £20. I have 13 categories for you. So, lets get cracking.

Starting with

Slippers

I have picked a pair from Uggs, these are the Olsen Slippers which cost £ 95. Ugg slippers are one of the most amazing luxurious slippers ever and they are so cosy as well.

Shirt

You can go two ways, either you can go for the formal work shirt or go for the casual weekend shirt. I thought I would go down the casual route. By picking this Hugo Boss shirt  costing £159.

Tablets and Phones

I was so exited by Apple's new releases that I could not include them in my gift guide. The first product is the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.  The price ranges from £539-£789. Another gift is the new iPad Air 2 which is amazing, prices range from £399-£659.

Camera

I have picked two cameras. This is the prefect gift for anyone who is into photography or wants to start making Youtube Videos, or they just enjoy taking photos. The first one is a DSLR and there are lots to choose from, but the one I picked is the Nikon D5300. It takes breathtaking photos and great quality videos. It comes in at a price of £622.35. But if you don't want to spend so much money and don't want to compromise on the quality of your photos and videos then the Nikon 1 J4 produces beautiful photos and videos, but is smaller and cheaper costing £399.

Grooming Kits

There are so many companies that make grooming kits, so there is a huge of choice out there. But today I have two choices, the first one is the Grooming Essentials Kit costing £25 and the next one is Shaving Set costing £45

Remote Controlled Toy

No matter how old a man is, they will enjoy a remote controlled toy. So, I had to include one in my gift guide. This Quadcopter which also record videos. £49.99 .

Fragrance

I have picked two fragrances the first one is the YSL L'homme perfume £50 and my other pick is the Dior Homme perfume £79.

Accessories

I have a selection of wallets and bags that I think would make a good gift. For wallets I would recommend Mulberry and Mont Blanc. For bags I have three brands to recommend. The first one is Mulberry: they do amazing leather products, that are on the pricier side. The second brand I would recommend is Cambridge Satchel, they have really lovely leather products that are not too pricey. My last option is Herschel which have really cool trend stuff and is cheaper.

Headphone.

I wanted to pick something a bit different that Beats. I still think Beats are great, but I have picked the Aedle Vk1 Classic, this headphones look amazing and trendy. Costing £299.99 they are on the pricier side for headphones.

Watches

This is quite a personal category as it depends a lot on the person, but I can recommend Emporia Armani watches. Selfridges has an amazing range of watches, costing from £20-£8100 having something for everyone.

Cufflinks

I also think cufflinks are very personal depending on what the person likes. Again Selfridges has a wide variety of cufflinks with prices from £25 to £7150, so there is something for everyone.

Fitness Bands

Fitness bands are becoming very popular which is great. and I think they would make the perfect gift for Christmas. There are lots to chose from, but I picked the Jawbone Up. They look great and work really well.

Pen

This is a more expensive gift and something very practical. The pen I would recommend is a Mont Blanc pen. This luxury pens are so good and will last for years. They have a range of styles and types of pens from ink pens to ballpoint. Something for everybody. Price range from £150 -£6,400.

Those are all my gift recommendations. If they weren't enough for you then you can check out last year's gift guide here. If you want some ideas for gifts for her then I will link the blog post here

I hope you are all having an amazing week.

Christmas Gift Guide for Her

Christmas is on its way and I am pumped. Last year's gift guide was very successful, so I am bringing it back. I am starting it off with the gift guide for her. I decided to do it a bit differently this year and it wouldn't be the same as last year. If you want to go and check out last year's post then I will have a link here. This year I have 15 categories and a few extras. This gift guide will be for gifts over £20. . Now, lets get started.

Skincare.

I picked the Elemis Beauty Wonder coming in at £39.50. I think this is a great skincare product. The set comes with a cleanser, toner, day and night cream. Perfect if you are not sure if she wears make up. Also comes with a nice package.

I thought I would also include an electronic skincare device. Last year I mentioned the Clarisonic which I still think is great. This year I wanted to mention the Foreo Luna which also comes as a mini version. This is a new product that would be great for anyone who loves beauty. The price ranges from £99-£145.

Body care

This gift is perfect for anybody who loves a bit of pampering. For this I picked the Laura Mercier Body and Bath Luxe Quartet. This comes as a range of different scents and the gift set contains a body mist, body cream, scrub and honey bath. Perfect for a pamper evening, coming in a price of £55.

For something cheaper that is also amazing I picked the Soap and Glory The Soapremes which comes with a shower gel, body butter, body scrub, hand cream, foot cream, fuzzy socks and a luffa. All costing £20. Great value!

Another brand that makes amazing gift sets for Christmas is The Body Shop. This year I picked the Frosted Cranberry Tin Of Delights which comes with a Body Polish, Body Mist, Lip balm, Body butter and luffa. All costing £25.

Make Up

There are so many make up Christmas gift sets, but I wanted to pick something that wasn't that popular. My first make-up pick is the perfect palette. It is the Guardian Petrouchka Palette. The palette comes with 5 eye shadows and 4 blushes. It is absolutely stunning. Costing £56.

Another amazing set it the Clinique Party Pretty set.  The set has a 6 pan eyeshadow palette, a chubby stick, a mascara, eye cream, eyeliner, nail polish and a makeup bag. All for £50. Amazing gift for someone just starting with make-up and also a safe present because there is no need to colour match foundations.

Last in the makeup category but definitely no the least, is the most amazing make up gift you could give anyone, but also the most expensive costing £200. This is the Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Video Box Makeup Set . This set comes with mascara, lip liner, eye liner, blush, lip stick, lip gloss and eye shadow quad. To top it all off, it has a video installed in the box where Charlotte herself talks you through how to create a look, using the products in the the set.

Nail Polish

I have picked 2 products for nail polish: my first one is the Formula X Paint Tower which comes with 22 mini nail polishes, and is also exclusive to Sephora. Costing $39.

My next pick is the OPI Nail Lacquers Trend On Ten which comes with 10 nail polishes ranging from light to dark colours. Costing £26.95.

Hair

For this category I have picked some products from GHD because they have amazing products and recently just released a new range of Curling wands. So, whether you pick a straighter or a curling wand they are great quality. Prices range from £99-£145.

Jewellery

For jewellery I picked the Monica Vinader Friendship Bracelet , costing between £75 and £2500. This could be a great gift to a friend and look really nice and elegant. They come in a wide range of colours and styles.

Handbag

I have picked 3 handbags with a range of different prices. I am going to start with the most expensive which is the Givenchy Antigona handbag costing £1,250. This is an amazing luxury product perfect for any bag lover that you know. It comes in a range of colours, but it you want to be safe stick to black or nude.

Next I have a slightly cheaper bag from Philip Lim. It is their Mini Pashil Satchel costing £545. This is a cute small cross body bag. Make sure you stick to safe colours unless you know want colour the person you are buying for wants.

Last bag selection is perfect if you are not willing to spend so much money on a bag, but you still want to buy her something special. So, for this category I would recommend you check out Rebecca Minkoff handbags. Prices range from $142-$445. So, there is something for everyone.

Purses

If you want to buy someone a designer present which is not to expensive then Kate Spade is the prefect place. Prices range from £40-£205. They have something for everyone.

Key Holders

This gift is something more original, something that not everyone will think of buying for someone. It is very practical as most people will have keys and they will probably really like this gift. There are so many key holders out there, but the one I think most people will love is this one from Prada. It comes in a range of different colours and costs £150.

Watches

For this category I have two brands which I think have a huge selection of watches to choose from and most women will love them. The first bands in Marc Jacobs which has really fun and modern watches, with prices ranging from £135-£329. Another brand which has a different take on watches is Kate Spade, with prices ranging from £150-£250.

Now moving on to the technology.

Tablets and Phones

I was so exited by Apple new releases that I could not include them in my gift guide.

Headphones

I love headphones and I think they are a great gift for anybody and today I have two different type of headphones for you. The first are the Frend Headphones. They are super stylish and trendy, costing £179. The second pair is Beats Solo HD costing £139.95. These headphones have amazing sound quality and also look cool.

Pen

This is a more expensive gift and something very practical. The pen I would recommend is a Mont Blanc pen. This luxury pens are so good and will last for years. They have a range of styles and types of pens from ink pens to ballpoint. Something for everything. Price range from £150 -£6,400

Jo Malone

I had to include something from Jo Malone as I think they make amazing products. I have two sets, but I would recommend any of their products. They range from perfumes to candles. My first set is the Jo Malone Christmas Cracker costing £32, perfect for anyone new to the brand. A more expensive present is the Jo Malone Aromatic Indulgences £108 or the Jo Malone Iconic scents £76.

Last, but not least I have a gift which would fit in any of the categories and is a magazine subscription. This cost around £35 for 12 issues and your can pick and magazine you think the person would like.

That is it for this gift guide. I hope it was helpful and I will see you a  very soon for my gift guide for him. I have three more gift guides coming up very soon.
