Book Vs Film- The Fault In Our Stars

This week I am going to be comparing TFIOS book VS the film.
So, let's get stared.

Firstly if you don't know anything about TFIOS.

Hazel, a seventeen-year-old girl who suffers with thyroid Cancer is the narrator. She goes to this Cancer Support Group where she meets Augustus Waters. They fall in love, which completely changes Hazel's life. I am not going to say any more about the actual plot, as I don't want to give any spoilers. But, here us a quick review of the book. One thing I loved it that it was written in first person that I find to be much more personal. I loved the story line and I love that it's not your usual cheesy love story.

Here is the actual blurb of the book.

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

Now moving on to the comparison of the book to the film.

I have a few things that I want to mention in this comparison. Personally I would recommend reading the book before seeing the film as I think the film will make more sense if you read the book first. Next I would like to mention that the film does not cover everything, otherwise it would be very long. Also some of the events in the film happen at different times to the book. Another thing to keep in mind it the fact that film does not stick to book exactly, but the story is the same.

I loved the movie. The actors played amazingly well. IT WAS AMAZING. That sums up how I feel about it. But, I would advise you to bring tissues to the film, as you will probably need them.  You go through feeling so many emotions just from one story:  you laugh, you cry, you are happy and sad.

Overall I would definitely recommend reading the book first and then seeing the film. But, I would also recommend doing both.

I am now going to leave you with the trailer to the Fault in Our Stars.

I hope you enjoyed my Book Vs. Film review.
